Kendal Bailey is a dynamic nursing professional with a rich educational background and extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. She has held leadership positions in the academic and healthcare sectors, designing educational activities that maximize nursing competence. Her roles have focused on utilizing virtual tools to improve educational performance, including 2D and 3D virtual reality (VR) applications. She works with SimX as the Director of Nursing Innovation and Strategy, supporting nursing partners in designing and integrating virtual simulations to enhance nursing competencies and professional development. Her research endeavors have focused on the acceptability and framework integration of VR simulations within nursing. She is passionate about leveraging innovative technologies to enhance end users' experience and learning outcomes.
Reid M. Hirsch is a distinguished Registered Nurse with over a decade of extensive experience in clinical care and leadership within the healthcare industry. Reid is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is also a recipient of the 2023 Kaiser Permanente Northern CA Region's Extraordinary Nurse Award - Clinical Adult Services for his exceptional contributions to nursing practice. Reid is an early technology adopter, passionately advocating for the use of high-level technologies that can aid the role of nurses within the acute care setting. Reid's professional journey reflects his commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery through innovative educational methods and leadership in nursing practice.

Reid M. Hirsch, MSN, BSN, RN, CCRN is a seasoned Registered Nurse with over 10 years of diverse experience in the medical field. Based in Roseville, CA. Reid has held various roles ranging from bedside clinical nurse to Director of Nursing showcasing his versatility and commitment to healthcare excellence. Reid serves as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist in Telemetry at Kaiser Permanente in South Sacramento. His role involves enhancing clinical practices through education and training while also providing expert care in critical settings. Reid’s expertise in evidence-based practice is evident from his contributions to the Magnet recognition process where he played a key role in document development and aligning organizational practices with ANCC Magnet standards. Reid's career highlights include his time as Interim Trauma Program Director and Staff Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Kaiser Permanente. In these roles he managed complex patient care coordinated multidisciplinary teams and advocated for patient safety and quality outcomes. His leadership skills were also demonstrated during his tenure as Assistant Department Manager for Medical Trauma and Surgical Units where he oversaw day-to-day operations ensuring high standards of care and efficient patient throughput. Before his current position Reid gained extensive experience as a Travel Nurse with Trinity Healthcare Staffing Group working in various ICU settings across the country. His clinical expertise spans surgical burn cardiac trauma and medical ICUs where he provided critical care to acutely ill patients and served as a Charge Nurse ensuring unit safety and optimal staffing. Reid’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He holds certifications in ACLS BLS and CCRN further solidifying his clinical proficiency and dedication to continuous professional development. Reid’s commitment to nursing excellence is recognized through his numerous professional memberships and awards including the 2023 KP NCAL Regional Extraordinary Nurse Award. His blend of clinical expertise leadership and dedication to evidence-based practice makes him a distinguished figure in the nursing community.

Lance W. Baily, BA, EMT-B is the Founder / CEO of HealthySimulation.com, the world’s leading healthcare simulation resource website which supports thousands healthcare professionals a month. As an experienced entrepreneur, digital media producer and administrative professional, Lance has the background and the experience necessary to help guide the clinical simulation industry to mass adoption.

Lance is also the Founder of SimGHOSTS.org, the leading 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting healthcare professionals operating clinical simulation technologies which has organized over twenty hands-on training conferences around the globe since 2011. His co-edited  book “Comprehensive Healthcare Simulation: Operations, Technology, and Innovative Practice” provides 400 pages of in-depth articles supporting the technical integration of medical simulation in any sized program.

Formerly he served as Director of the Nevada System of Higher Education’s Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas, Simulation Technician for the LA Community College District, and volunteer Fire-Fighter, after receiving his BA in Film and Digital Media Production and working on Hollywood production sets. He currently lives with his wife and two young daughters in Las Vegas.

Teresa Gore, PhD, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CHSE-A, FSSH, FAAN - Dr. Gore has experience in educating future nurses in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Dr. Gore has a PhD in Adult Education, a DNP as a family nurse practitioner, and a certificate in Simulation Education. Dr. Gore is an innovative, compassionate educator and an expert in the field of healthcare simulation. In 2007l Teresa started her journey in healthcare simulation. She is involved in INACSL and SSH. She is a Past-President of INACSL and is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator Advanced (CHSE-A). In 2018, she was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). In 2021, she was inducted as a Fellow in the Society of Simulation in Healthcare Academy (FSSH) and selected as a Visionary Leader University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing Alumni. During her career, Dr. Gore has led in the development and integration of simulation into all undergraduate clinical courses and started an OSCE program for APRN students. Her research interests and scholarly work focus on simulation, online course development and faculty development. She has numerous invited presentations nationally and internationally on simulation topics.
